MGS as a Learning Hub
On March 18, MGS hosted an engineering education training for 20 teachers from nearby schools. These teachers were from the Bugesera district and other Benebikira schools. All of the teachers were trained on a new program designed by the Tufts Center for Education and Engineering Outreach supported by a grant from the LEGO foundation.

Celebrating International Women’s Day 2022
On this International Women's Day, we are thrilled to share that Head of the Maranyundo Girls School, Sister Laetitia, was one of the four women in Rwanda honored for outstanding work in engaging, inspiring and promoting women and girls in STEM.

Reflections from Sister Ann Fox
In March of 2020, founder and long-time board member Sister Ann went on a trip to Rwanda that was supposed to last one month, but she ended up staying for a year and a half. Here are some of her thoughts and reflections from living in Rwanda during the pandemic.

The Girls are Back at School!
The Maranyundo Girls are finally back to school this week! Their first day of fall term was Monday, October 11. After being sent home a second time at the end of their school year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they are so excited to be back at school and start their routines. Best of luck with a great semester!

Strengthening Tech Learning and Broadening Impact through the MGS Learning Hub
In 2021, the Maranyundo Initiative has an increased fundraising goal of $150,000 for:
- Stronger campus-wide internet
- Personal laptops for each high school student
- Tech support to help manage the school's technology
- Funding to provide STEM trainings and community programming in Bugesera.

Maranyundo Abuzz Over Break!
You may wonder what goes on at MGS when the girls leave. Of course while there is always the garden and animals to tend, this is also time to reflect, rehabilitate, plan and invest for the future. This year, however, campus has been especially busy!
