This spring, Tufts University President, Anthony Monaco, announced that Sara Willner-Gweric, who worked to create the MGS STEM MakerSpace, is a 2020 recipient of the Presidential Award for Civic Life. Each year this award recognizes undergraduate and graduate students from across Tufts University for outstanding achievement in community service and community leadership.

Congratulations to Sara for this well-deserved recognition and thank you for your hard work and contributions!

Sara's leadership in establishing the MGS MakerSpace in March 2019, and working with MGS faculty and students has empowered the girls at MGS to deepen their knowledge of robotics, coding, and using 3D-Printers, robots, stop-motion cameras, LEGOs, and more.
