Strengthening Tech Learning and Broadening Impact through the MGS Learning Hub
In 2021, the Maranyundo Initiative has an increased fundraising goal of $150,000 for:
- Stronger campus-wide internet
- Personal laptops for each high school student
- Tech support to help manage the school's technology
- Funding to provide STEM trainings and community programming in Bugesera.

You may wonder what goes on at MGS when the girls leave. Of course while there is always the garden and animals to tend, this is also time to reflect, rehabilitate, plan and invest for the future. This year, however, campus has been especially busy!

The Girls Are Back on Campus!
The buildings of Maranyundo are alive again! On Sunday, November 1st the first half of the girls came back onto campus - S-3s, S-5s, and S-6s! They are very happy to be back together and back to learning in person after 7 months apart.

COVID-19 Update – Girls Remain Home, E-Learning Implemented
Sister Laetitia, the new Head of School, is busy! She has been working with faculty to design and implement distance learning. She also partnered with local companies, Mara Phones and Airtel, and the Maranyundo Initiative to provide low-cost smartphones and free internet to connect vulnerable families to the MGS e-learning platform and the social support of the MGS community
Meet Maranyundo Girls School’s New Head of School
Sister Laetitia Musanabaganwa took over the Head of School duties in January 2020, and wasted no time in meeting with the community and evaluating the school’s needs. Sister Laetitia has a long history in science and education and served as school counselor at MGS before becoming the Head of School
